Year 4 – Ancient Egypt

Year 4 – Ancient Egypt

What can we learn about Ancient Egypt from studying Egyptian artefacts?

Year 4 have been looking at artefacts from Ancient Egypt.

These are some of the questions we were asking:

  • What is it?
  • What might it be made from?
  • What do you think it was used for?
  • Who might it have belonged to?
  • What does it tell us about the Ancient Egyptians?
  • How do we know what it was and what it was used for?
  • What do you think these artefacts are? Ask you child and see if they can tell you.
Year 4 – Racism

Year 4 – Racism

The children in year 4 have been saddened by the recent news that England players were targeted by racist abuse. Today we have been learning about racism and discovering how we can be allies, supporting people at the receiving end of this abuse. We have created letters and posters for Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and anyone else who has ever experienced at racism. We wanted them to know how proud we are and how we are going to stand up against racism. We hope to continue spreading the message of equality for all. Well done, Year 4!

Year 4 – PE Week

Year 4 – PE Week

This week has been PE week. We had to choose an Olympic sport and we decided to learn about boxing. We researched different Olympic boxers, found out about world records and discovered how boxers train. On Friday, we looked at some different moves and had a go at non-contact boxing. We made sure our friends were a distance away and told them the move we were going to make before making it. The children had lots of fun trying out some different kicks and jabs.
