Getting Fit in Year 5!

Year 5 have been working hard and building up a regular sweat in PE lessons this half-term. We have been working on improving our stamina, speed and strength in a Fitness block of learning. It’s been tough work at times but we have encouraged each other and shown determination to complete each exercise.

Year 4 – PE Week

Year 4 – PE Week

This week has been PE week. We had to choose an Olympic sport and we decided to learn about boxing. We researched different Olympic boxers, found out about world records and discovered how boxers train. On Friday, we looked at some different moves and had a go at non-contact boxing. We made sure our friends were a distance away and told them the move we were going to make before making it. The children had lots of fun trying out some different kicks and jabs.

Congratulations to our U9’s Football Team who qualified for the City Finals in last nights match. They played some great football and were excellent as a team – We are very proud of them! Well done boys.
