As a follow on, the children could choose their favourite arctic animal and find out 3 amazing facts about it. With your help they could note these down and draw a picture, or cut out a picture of the animal and label it. You can go to ‘Twinkl Go’ and enter in the code on the image to access the PowerPoint.
If you can gather some resources together, they could have a go at the science activity, investigating how polar bears keep warm, that is in your pack https://www.science-sparks.com/how-do-animals-stay-warm-in-winter/ . You don’t need gloves if you don’t have them, they could just coat their finger in fat.
They could also watch Andy’s arctic adventures on cbeebies. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b09s39xl/andys-safari-adventures-series-1-4-andy-and-the-arctic-fox
and do Andy’s arctic workout, which they did a couple of weeks ago.
